Raffaele Minotto

Raffaele Minotto

Born in Padua, Italy in 1969.

Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 1991.

Lives and works in Padua.

In 1995 he held his first solo exhibition at the Centro di Storia del Costume “Ieri Attualità” in Padua and from this moment began to exhibit his works. The intense work carried out in the following years is well documented in the exhibition Via Euganea (Padua, 2003) directed by G. Segato. In more recent times, in 2009, Minotto’s paintings were selected for Contemplazioni: an extensive exhibition produced by A. Agazzani which offered, at the Sismondo Castle in Rimini, an incisive point of view on Italian painting. In 2011 he was chosen by V. Sgarbi to represent his region in the setting of the 54th Venice Biennale – Veneto Region Section. Minotto’s works are mentioned in the volumes La pittura nel Veneto – Il Novecento (Mondadori Electa, 2006) and La Pittura nel Veneto – Dizionario degli Artisti (Mondadori Electa, 2009).
